Well, after a trip to Sports Authority, and $100 (actually $220+)later....Kai is ready for baseball tryouts tonight....I know...that's a lot of money...but, what do you do? Kai wants to play "real" baseball...so he will be playing for Bingham little league this year....and it is $120 just to play....THEN, he needed a mitt...since his mitt was from Tball and is t i n y ($35).....luckily...everything we buy for Kai gets handed down to Kase....so that's nice..... oh and batting gloves (clearance $14), a bag for his stuff (clearance $9)...and......Juice decided that he really wanted a mitt to be able to practice w/Kai...so there goes another $35. ugh.....so anyway...tryouts are tonight...however, everyone makes a team...I think they just like to spread the talent out a bit....they even have a 'draft'....ha! Kai is excited because he has only ever played tball...so this will be fun. Kids' sports are really costing way too much money...and I think it's unfortunate that they have to charge so much money......I think a huge part of keeping your kid out of trouble and in shape is to involve them in athletics while they are young, but to do so it's pricey.....however, this is a priority for us....so we make it happen....
Next is flag football for Kase....sheesh! I have a feeling that this is only the begining for us.....I think these boys are going to be doing this stuff for a long time.....so I better just add this into our monthly budget!
Good luck tonight Kai!

How fun! We did football this past fall. I was amazed at how fast it all adds up. It was worth it to watch how much fun they have!
Juice gave me the blogsite so I thought I would stop by and see what you guys have been up to. Your kids are growing fast. As for the cost of sports...my little guy isn't even old enough for stuff and the money is falling out of my wallet already. Small price to pay for our kids right? Take care.
