After working with some very sick kids over the last few days...all I have to say is IMMUNIZE your children....unless they are allergic to a product found in it, you really are putting your kids at risk if you do not immunize your child....and putting other children at risk.....I have spoken w/many parents that did not immunize, then their child is admitted...and very very sick...and every single parent regretted not immunizing their child.....esp. when they are in the hospital and watching their child get poked and prodded night and day....and fighting for their lives. I know this can be controversial, but come to my work for a day and see what your child will be going through if you chose not to immunize and they get sick....bad bad. Even chicken pox. I have seen a chicken pox develop cellulitis in a child's thigh and had to amputate their leg because of a single chicken pox.....it's crazy.

I'm glad to hear this coming from a nurse who sees the effects first hand. I do worry about immunizations, but I know they are necessary. I think it's starting to become clear just how important they are...I don't think we as a society should take 10 steps back when we have so many deadly diseases effectively under control!
