my dad
Well, my baby brother is amazing! Saturday morning he set off through the mountains and RAN for 33 hrs straight up and down the mountain...climbing up over 9300 ft! This was 100 Mile race.....and I am so proud of him for finishing it! I can't even imagine! When I went to bed Sat. night I thought "Cliff is running in the mtns." then when I woke up Sunday I thought "Cliff is STILL running" amazing! He had his wife Tara and my Dad there throughout the night to help doctor him up at all the aid stations...he had pacers with him all night that really helped to keep his spirits up! My dad ran the last 8 hrs. with him...as he is a seasoned runner...but admits that he had never seen a finish like that! I guess Cliff kicked it into high gear the last few hrs. and sped past 20-25 people to finish in a great time!
He finished with 7 blisters on each foot....they pretty much looked like hamburger! But duh! I would kind of expect that! All in all he only lost 7 lbs....and is now vacationing in San Diego with his wife and son.....
Great Job Cliff!!!

That is absolutely inspiring!! I feel so lazy and out of shape right now. I get winded just going up the stairs too fast. Cliff is awesome!
Okay, I'm sooo glad you posted this. I cried!! How awesome is that?! And his little boy cheering as his dad (who's just run 100 miles) picks him up and carries him!! LOVE this post. Maybe I will train for a Marathon again. Then again, maybe not. But it does make you pause to think. Congrats Cliff!
That really is quite an accomplishment. I love these photos - thanks for sharing! Way to go, Cliff!
