Well, tonight I am going to work...and although I do love what I do and have so much fun with the people I work with....I am soooo over the almost hour commute....and anxiously awaiting the opening of the new Riverton Hospital...which is only minutes from my home....yippee!! Not sure what I will end up doing there...possibly make a transition to labor and delivery? I could do pediatric outpatient, or surgery...or a clinic or the ER...who knows...all I know is that I am there on opening day!!! It won't be opening for about 14 months, but I am counting down the days! Who wants to join me??? :)
Intermountain Riverton Hospital will open with 44 beds with room to grow up to 88; it will employ an estimated 400 employees. Hospital services will include emergency care, women's/birthing services, six operating rooms, general medical/surgical care, and full-service imaging and other diagnostic services. Primary Children's outpatient facility will offer surgery, radiology, pediatric subspecialty care, and other procedures.
The total size of the facility, including the hospital and all other buildings, will be 281,866 square feet (which includes 70,000 square feet of shelled space). The site, located at the corner of Bangerter Highway and 12600 South in Riverton, covers just over 60 acres.

I keep telling my wife that she should look into going to Riverton too, but she'd rather stay where she's at even though she also hates that commute.
I know plenty of people that are planning on joining you. Hopefully they will have enough job opportunities for all those that want to work there. I'm counting down the days for you.
yeah, let's hope there's enough jobs...i'll for sure be knocking on the door!
