Playing in dirt....

Oh my goodness..it was so nice outside today! I have been trying to start my perennials in our new yard, because I miss all of mine that I had at my old house...so I am slowly trying to collect my favorites and get them in....last year we spent our money on trees and shrubs...this year it's flowers....which I think is a LOT more fun.

We also got to spend part of the day down at our garden plot and help Juice get the soil ready....he and Kai went and bought lots of bags of garden soil and hummus...and we got it all mixed in to our garden.....the kids are having so much fun getting it ready, and it's a fun thing to do together.

Next...we are trying to plan out the best way to get it watered...we are probably going to do a hose down the middle with little drippers that extend wherever you want them to go....we have talked to a few people that did it with the little drippers instead of the soaker hose, and have been really happy....so we will probably copy them! :)Thanks Eliza!

Then the kids and I are going to go pick out our seeds.....won't plant til probably May, but fun to get them out and organized....plus, seeds are 40% off at Smith's Marketplace...so gotta get them while they are cheap!

Well...that's about it! Tomorrow Chloe is going to playgroup, Kai is going to school, so Kase and I are going out in the morning to breakfast together before he goes to kindergarten! I can't wait to spend some one on one time with Kase on Monday's while Chloe is at playgroup! Can't believe he is turning 6 on Saturday!!
