Disneyland

so, I am so excited! I booked our plane tickets last night to Disneyland! (thanks Food Nanny)
we leave Oct 12th...and staying for a week....I cannot wait!
Chloe has never been to Disneyland...she got to go to Disney World when she was 2...but does not remember much....
We are staying at Homewood Suites by Hilton...I was told it is a perfect place to stay if you have kids....shuttle to Disneyland, free breakfast and dinner! Also bedroom seperate from living room and a FULL kitchen!
Of course we are paying cash for this trip, so we will get the tickets when we save up...hopefully in a few weeks....
We are going to get the City Pass from Costco...it gives you 3 days in Disneyland and California Adventure, 1 day in Sea World, 1 day at Universal Studios, 1 day at San Diego Zoo....
just Universal Studios itself is $72 each to get in! INSANE! So, this pass is a great deal...
you can get it for $199 for the kids and $239 (I think) for adults....

If anyone has any tips, let me know!
We will rent a car and drive down to Sea World...we MAY stay down there for a night...but not sure....
flying into Long Beach (which I think is THE best airport)...it is sooo simple.
Now, it's going to be different going w/a baby...and I need to think through the stroller thing...hmmm....not sure if the ones you rent are best? however I will need a simple one to bring on the trip...but I wish I had one that reclined all the way so he could nap better.....
anyway...we are excited!
If anyone has tips on getting cheap rental cars, please let me know...

I have heard the DL strollers are actually pretty nice, but I have never used them. Good choice on Homewood...the rooms are super nice and you can't beat the free breakfast and dinner!

Also, one year we went around Halloween and they did trick-or-treating in CA Adventure and it was totally fun! It costs extra, but at the time we only had to pay for Jason and myself because the kids were so small, but it was really fun and with your kids being older, I bet they would love it. Although, it does mean you would have to pack costumes too...

Make sure you use the baby swap...while one adult goes on the ride with the kids while the other waits with the baby, they ask for a baby swap and the cast member gives you a piece of paper. After they have gone on the ride, they come back and give you the baby swap (piece of paper) and you (and the other kids if they want to go again) get to go through the exit or the fast pass line. It's super nice when you have a baby!

All this talk makes me even more excited to go in December...wish it was sooner!

We did the cali city pass 2 years ago, its AWESOME> Universal is really fun, but I am not sure Chloe will be tall enough for most of the "big rides". Lily was going to kindergarten when we went, and she wasnt tall enough so we left the kids with my sister and just jake and I went. The disney strollers are nice... they are joggers. If Chloe gets tired I would rent one for her too. They are $10 I think. Do you have a double stroller? I have like 3 if you want to borrow one. I have a double jogger, and just a basic graco front and back stroller that is nice. And the back seat lays flat so the babe can sleep. Take your kids to Mideaval times. Its pretty fun, and you get to eat with your hands!! SO jealous you guys are flying, no crazy car ride with 4 kids!! UGH!!
