I have accomplished something great.

In 3 days I have GUTTED 3 kids' rooms.....and I mean gutted. To the point that they couldn't even be in the house while I was doing it because I was getting rid of a lot of crap "stuff".

I had an 'ah-ha' moment after watching The Brady Bunch with my children the other night (they are obsessed with that show right now, and watch one every night).

I understand that the show is filmed on a set and the bedrooms are not really bedrooms....however I decided that I want my kids' rooms to look more like the kids' rooms on The Brady Bunch....and by this I mean I want them to LOOK like bedrooms and not something from the show "Hoarders"....

I want their room to be a place where they can read, get dressed, sleep, relax...etc....we have a large playroom, and that is where the toys need to be.....so...I took every single toy out of the kids' rooms and moved them all to the playroom.....I left each childs' special items in their rooms, and a few small rubbermaid boxes in their closet with special toys...but that's it.

It is awesome! I am very proud of myself...and could not have done it with my children because I donated 6 bags worth of crap "stuff".....loaded up 5  bags of clothes that no longer fit, and 4 bags of garbage....old McDonalds' toys, candy wrappers etc....

I will post pictures soon...but just to get that clutter out of their bedrooms, was really nice.  Now on to the playroom....ugh......

I am on an organizing streak...so I better do it while I am in the mode!
