I just have to say that I live in the best neighborhood....really I do. Since I have been home from the hospital, we have had a hot meal every single night from various neighbors....some that had planned ahead on bringing a meal...and some that just show up on our porch with one. We have never had this before after the birth of a child, and I cannot tell you how wonderful it is! Especially after a csection where you can't drive and run to the store.
I also have had a neighbor come pick me and the baby up and drive me to Chloe's Spring program at school so that I didn't have to miss it....and for the last two Monday's my good friend/neighbor has picked Chloe up from school, fed her a snack, helped her get ready for dance and then drove her to dance w/her daughter and then back home.....and today my sweet neighbor picked Chloe up and drove her to gymnastics. Not to mention the various phone calls and emails asking how they can help....oh and the calls asking if I needed anything from Costco.....oh and the neighbors that have driven my boys to their football and baseball games and practices.....which is HUGE!
I could go on and on...but really want to thank them for all of their help. I have a new appreciation for a hot meal after you have a baby and hope to give back when they or anyone is in need because I really believe that "it takes a village."
and also have to mention that we are doing great....but will post about that soon!

One of my aunts brought me a hot meal after each one of my boys was born. It is a very neat tradition to have, and I'd love to start doing it for neighbors and friends. Her ready-made meals, especially after a c section, are something I will always remember! Can't wait for a new post and new pictures to hear how it's all going!
I'm so glad that your neighbors are helping since we're too far away to do those kinds of things for you! It makes such a difference in life to live near wonderful people who think of more than just themselves. What great people!
