it's about time.

I know there are a lot of haters...and there are things about this bill that will need to be tweaked....but I cannot tell you how many people this will help.....and maybe even you or your spouse or your child one day.

How do you put a price on a family members' health?

Come to my work and walk a day in my shoes and watch what goes on up there.....watch the people come through the emergency room for a fever because they know that the ER has to see them...and they don't have medical insurance...so they can't go to a regular dr. 

Who do you think is paying for this VERY expensive visit to the ER for a child w/a simple fever that Motrin would take care of?

YOU.

This is going to cost the U.S. money...but in the long run...will save so so much.

I know there are many that disagree....and you think...how can they do this to our childrens' pocketbooks?

Well, do you ever think "how can we continue to do this to our childrens' health!?"

I watch parents that cannot stay w/their very, very sick children at the hospital because they both work and are terrified of missing a day of work and being dropped by their insurance....then piling up hospital bills, possibly going bankrupt....and losing their home.....then what?  How does that save taxpayers money?

Then there are the parents that pay CASH when they do have insurance so that their childs' new diagnosis won't show up on their insurance....because if they ever switch to a different insurance, it will be considered a pre-existing illness.

Or

what about the mom that fought cancer once.....hit her lifetime maximum in $$

the cancer returns......

but now ran out of insurance money to fight it again.

How does this mom tell her husband and children that she wants to fight the cancer to be able to spend more time with her children....but financially just can't.

can you even imagine?

Why can't people get over the Democrat/Republican thing and just be concerned about the health of our nation.....the children!

As a mom....

I can't even imagine having to stop treatment on my child because we hit the maximum....

or because the insurance denied us.

and who has the money to pay cash?

"I'm sorry son....

Mommy and Daddy can't help fix your cancer anymore because of the money. 

We want to, but some people in Washington, D.C. just didn't think you were worth it."

I know this is a touchy subject....

but in my heart of hearts...this is so important to me.

I could care less WHO the President is that pushed this through.

This is a step in the right direction.

Even if you disagree, please learn the facts about the bill...and be educated when you speak about it...

and don't just go against it because you hear someone say something bad about it, and you believe it to be true....educate yourself...then look at your family members and realize that none of us knows what tomorrow may bring to our family....

but as a mother....

I sure don't want anything holding me back on the treatment

I want to seek for my children, myself, or any family member....

or any of you reading this.
