just like I thought. I actually got some help for the first 2 days....then not much. My sweet husband that puts in a ton of hours at the school he works at, did put a few loads in and folded and put away a few......but mostly his clothes. The kids however did learn some lessons...and are now wearing their pj's for a few days, rather than one day....that is a plus. We are also hanging up the uniforms so they don't get thrown in the mix...so that's good.
But as I sat and watched the laundry pile up higher and higher...I couldn't take it any longer...it was driving me crazy....so yesterday I started doing laundry....because I realized that it was only getting worse.
I think I just got fed up, like we all do, and wanted someone to appreciate what I do. I know they do appreciate all that I do...guess I just had to be dramatic about it :)
I love my husband and kids and have a lot of laundry ahead of me.....but we all have to complain sometimes, right?
Next time I am going to strike something that will be a little more noticible...like not cooking/preparing meals/packing lunches etc...ha!

I tried to strike from cooking, and all it did was make my kids addicted to cold cereal, waffles and toaster struedle. So to avoid having my kids turn into kids you see on Maury Povich, I started to cook, but I WONT do dishes. Jake does, and thats that. I cook, he cleans up. He is counting down the days to when the kids can become our dish slaves.
I tried a few strikes myself at times. Can't say that it had a large impact but I did make some changes in how I did things. If the clothes didn't make it INTO the hamper they didn't get washed. If they did, I washed them. When I went to nursing school they had to fold and put away their own laundry after I washed and dried it. I threw it in baskets and sent them to their rooms. Sometimes they stayed in the baskets...but we all survived. And when they grow up they adopt their own style anyway and sometimes it's not a lot better than what they did as kids despite my best efforts!
