I now know that moving to a hospital 4-5 min. from my home is the right thing to do. Today I had to drive allll the way up to Primary to pass off my cpr/aed skills....it was a renewal, and I had already done alll the other stuff/tests for it online...so this was a 15 min. pass off...well, I had to drive there...
I had 2.5 hrs. where Chloe was at a bday party..so I went. Took me 55 min to get there....once I got on Foothill.....I saw flashing lights behind me...and boom. I got a ticket :( totally ruined my day. I was going 45 in a 40! And if any of you have come off of 215 to Foothill...it takes a minute to slow back down...so, I got a ticket. I asked him for a warning and he said "Miss, I don't do warnings...I actually ticketed my cousin yesterday." whatever.
So, went on my way to Primary...passed off my skills, also got fitted for a TB mask while I was there so I didn't have to drive up later this week....then left for home....
Got stuck in construction alllll the way down Foothill....then hit traffic all the way home.....
Didn't make it home in time to pick Chloe up from the birthday party, but Jill said she was fine until I got there....also, didn't make it home before my boys got home from school...so I had a sweet/darling neighbor meet my boys there so they knew I would be late.
Thus my entire "break" while Chloe was at a bday party was spent driving to and from Primary...
as I drove past Riverton on my way home, I again, timed myself...(I have done this many times :) 4.5 minutes from Riverton to my front door!!
So, I am feeling good about this switch! Let's hope I like the job :)
still bummed I got a ticket...but what do you do, right? Let's just hope that cop's wife doesn't deliver at my hospital!!! Or her epidural may take a LOOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG time to get in and going. :)

Can't believe your luck! Dad says lots of people get pulled over there. Bummer. Did he also tell you HE got pulled over a couple weeks ago? Humm...wonder how he talked his way out of HIS ticket? Must be a "guy" thing :(
That is crazy that he gave you a ticket for going 5 over...I always go 5 over! Sorry...that really stinks...especially since it was supposed to be a nice break :(
They're on a power trip I'm convinced. And, I notice more guys are able to talk their way out of tickets than women - across the board. Course I don't know many "hotties" who might be getting better treatment...
