We have had a great, long Summer...but the boys and I are ready for school to start! And today was their first day at their brand new school!! It is a beautiful school! It looks like a High School....so many cool things about this school.....Chloe and I walked the boys to school today and found a HUGE group of kids walking, which is great!
I love their simple uniforms...don't even have to have the shirts tucked in! How cool is that! The boys were so excited, but as we approached their classrooms, they were getting a little nervous....but i'm sure they will be just fine!
Kai loves that he's upstairs with the big kids...and right by the library!
They also love that they get out of school a 1/2 hr. earlier than their old school! Here are a few pictures....I'm going to miss these boys :( but they will have fun!!

Handsome boys! And their contacts too. I love Charter Schools, despite what so many traditional educators say about them. Schools have long needed to adapt to the needs of the students; not just try to force everyone into the same cube.
I have a friend who is a principal of a Charter School and she is shunned by the "regular" district staff. It's really sad that we can't realize there is room for more than one way of learning.
How are they liking it there?
