well, my boys are off track until the end of February..and we have been having a good time.... we have not spent any money yet while off track...and have made our own fun...here's an example....
We found a science kit that still had some stuff in it that we hadn't done yet...and created some fun stuff....we grew an alien....it started out about 2 inches tall, and now it is 12 inches....I finally talked Kai into getting rid of it, because I couldn't stand to look at it on my counter anymore...so he took it out of the pitcher...and.....it's head fell off.....well, as any true scientist would do, Kai wanted to explore more about his alien now that his head fell off...and he talked me into letting him freeze the alien's head in a ziplock bag of water in the freezer......not sure why...and really don't want to read into this too much ;) but thought I would let him "experiment"...so it's in the freezer right now and i'll update you on it another day....
we also grew our own "fish eggs"....and made our own bouncy ball from powder....which was really cool! the kids are having a lot of fun creating stuff...and with it still being cold outside...their outside play is limited...so we have had to think outside the box.
