So Chloe woke up this morning complaining of a sore throat, and she just acted funny....and was warm...took her temp and she was 102.5...gave Motrin blah blah...and took her to instacare....I don't mess around w/Chloe because she has had febrile seizures in the past, so we like to get on top of the fevers.....and, voilla! She has strep. This is actually her first time having strep...the boys got it all the time, and ended up getting their tonsils removed...so we'll see...hopefully this won't be a trend....
I am the bad mom though...I opted for her to have the Pennicillin shot instead of 10 days of antibiotics... :( I know, but after the initial poke....they really get better so much faster...and w/out the other side effects that come w/antibiotics....so anyway, stay away for a bit...should be ok by Tuesday....but for now, the Princess is down....
she told me when we got home "Mom, this isn't that good of a day for me." poor thing.

I think making her take the shot makes you a great mom! I'm allergic to pennicillin and let me tell you, I'd much rather have that shot than the darn 10 days of prescription. It takes so long for the pills to kick in and I swear you do get better in half the time with the shots.
Oh so sad, I'm sorry. Connor also has febrile seizures, they freak me out! glad she is feeling better now, I too would opt for the shot!
