So...Juice and I made a list the other night of things/places we want to take the kids to over the next couple of years....this year we want to do some road trips....one will be San Diego in July for a week....we are also planning our trip to Zions National Park in May....but we want some ideas for some other fun places to go...any ideas?
Our kids are busy on the weekends with sports, but we decided that we need to get away anyway.....we for sure are planning some camping trips this Summer....

You know- with as many sport fans as you have- have you thought about Denver, CO? It's only a 7 hour drive (childless) on I-70. Glenwood Springs (on the way to Denver) has a fun Timpanogos Cave type thing with a few rides- like the Alpine Slide, some swing that goes over a 300 foot cliff, and a catapult ride along with the cave experience.
Denver also happens to be home of the Rockies, the Broncos, the Nuggets, the Avalanche, the Crush, and probably about 100 others. They also have a GREAT zoo. Garden of the Gods isn't too far- Colorado Springs- 1 hour from Denver.
Can you tell I LOVE Denver? We used to live there. There's my "local" two cents.
We're going to mt. Rushmore in June! Did you know that its about as far as Disneyland? We were going to do the Denver thing last summer, but couldn't make the scheduling work out :-(. Denver also has a water park that made the travel Chanel's "10 best waterparks" list and you can rent cabanas and stuff - it looks fun on the Internet!
Denver also has a tour that seems like something you'd do on the amazing race - i don't remember the details, but you're trying to find out " who robbed the mint." or something...
Maybe next year we'll make it there!
