My new job....

well, after the same job for 12 years...2 yrs. as an LPN and 10 as an RN...I am expanding my wings.
I got a job offer at the new Riverton hospital which is exactly 5 min. from my home...I timed it.
I actually will be staying at Primary on the books, and work once in a while there....but starting around October 12th I will be training a TON at Riverton...40 hrs/week for 3 weeks. I almost said that I couldn't do it because of the amount of hours of training...because who is going to watch my kids all day every day for that long?
Well, I have the BEST neighbors. I posted this on our neighborhood blog and in one day I had every day covered for babysitting...I am not kidding. It was amazing! Thanks so much everyone..if you are reading this! I even have a few back up people in case one falls through....

This sealed the deal, and I am going for it. I will be working in the Level II nursery and cross training to Labor and Delivery. I have never done anything like this, however, I feel very confident in the newborn nursery part, because I have worked with very sick babies for years, and am not worried about that...it's the Labor and Delivery part that will be alll new...but so much fun too!

Anyway, that's my news.....I will have a crazy busy October and miss my kids a ton while I train...but in the long run, it will be so much better for our family for me to be so close to work. An hour is what it takes me to get to Primary and get parked and inside...so 5 min. is wonderful!

Can I just tell you how happy I am that you got that job? I'm just way sad that I'll be delivering at LDS hospital (it's the only one my doctor will do it at since she's downtown in the avenues). But seriously, I bet you are going to love it. Congratulations!

Congrats on the new JOB! There's nothing like having great neighbors...never move, it's too risky!
