There is a fruit and veggie co-op called Bountiful Baskets....it has been around in Utah for a while, but has never had a pick up location out west...and a friend of mine that lives in Daybreak has worked so hard to get a pick up location out here....it is in South Jordan, in Daybreak...in the parking lot by the lake. Pickup is Saturday.
this is awesome! For $13.00 (plus a 3.00) first time start up fee....you get a basket of fresh, seasonal fruits and veggies that are locally grown...they are different all the time You are also able to add cases of corn, peaches, loaves of bread etc.... to your order. You have to order by the Wed. before by 10pm. You go to the website, pick the pickup location (there are other locations up North)....then you pay online...and on Sat. morning at 8am you bring a laundry basket or whatever and pick up your goods! It is awesome!!!
This happens every other week....once they get an indoor pickup location they will do it weekly....also, noone makes money off of this...it is totally run by volunteers....and if you want to help out by volunteering, then arrive at 7am.
