I sit here and can't believe that tonight we may have elected the first African-American President of the United States......it is hard for me to believe that it has taken this long....and I feel Obama is the best guy for the job....Black or White........it is also amazing to me that George Bush is our President....when I sit back and think about it...it amazes me that he was elected.....and whoever is elected tonight has a LOT on their plate because George W. has created a mess...and I am proud to say that I did NOT vote for him. I think McCain may have been a better candidate a decade ago...but not now, and not with Palin.....she is a brilliant woman, but not future President of the United States material...no way.
At work yesterday, I met sooo many nurses that said they are Republican's, but feel so strongly for Obama...and are voting for him. They said they have never voted for a Democrat...but will be this time. I like when people step out of the mold and vote for the person, not the party....this country needs to do a 360' and I think people understand that 4 more years of someone that voted along with G.Bush 90% of the time, is not what we need right now....
Can't wait to watch the votes come in......go and vote if you haven't already...take a book...the lines may be long...but sooo worth it!
