Taylorsville Toddler Nearly Drowns in Backyard Pond
A 16 month old boy was flown to the hospital in critical condition after falling into a backyard pond at 1341 West Callaway Court in Taylorsville.
Police say the mother found her son face down in the pond Tuesday afternoon. She pulled him out and ran to a neighbors house for help. CPR was given until paramedics could get there.
Police are not sure how long the boy was in the water before being rescued.
Taylorsville Police want to remind people that even small bodies of water are dangerous and should have a protective cover around them when not in use.
