Each Elementary school gets to have ONE fundraiser a year to raise money for field trips, science programs, assemblies, literacy programs, reflections, drug awareness programs etc....and this year, the boys' school is doing something very smart. Instead of selling candy bars, or wrapping paper, where the school just makes a small percentage on what they sell....they are having a Fun Run for the students and their families..and 100% of the money collected goes to their school...each child collects sponsors (money donations), and then the child will run in the Fun Run and the boys are keeping track on a chart at home of how many minutes a day they are exercising after school..... the child gets raffle tickets for different things like turning in their money on time, getting more than $25 in donations etc...then they get in a drawing for prizes...so it's kind of fun for everyone, promotes good health and exercise, and generates more money for the school.....
So, just thought i'd put it out there if anyone wants to donate ANY amount....really, even a dollar.....that would be great! You just make the check out to Daybreak Elementary School....and mail it to us at Peterson Family 11558 Lake Run Rd. South Jordan, UT 84095 my boys have a goal to each raise at least $25. I will divide the donations equally between the two boys. The kids have to turn all the pledges in by Sept. 10th. And I will take lots of pictures of the Fun Run and post them here....the Fun Run will be held on Sept. 25th.....and the route will be throughout the Daybreak neighborhood...with the streets blocked off.....it will be a lot of fun!
