I nEeD a NeW jOb....

No, I didn't lose my job...and no I didn't quit...but really am feeling burned out of my same unit...I have been an RN at PCMC for almost 10 yrs. now, and an LPN for 2 years at PCMC before that......

I know a lot of you that read this blog work with me....and you probably know where i'm coming from......don't get me wrong...I LOVE my unit and the kids we take care of....I just need a change... A few things I am thinking of is the ER at Primary....the new IMC in the ER...which is closer...but adults!!! aaaaaggghhhhh!!!! Or, the Southridge Clinic which is a Kids Care, Insta Care and is 2 min. from my house...and will eventually be in the new Riverton Hospital...which is again...2 min. from my house...(but this option that sounds great, is a $7/hr pay cut...ugh. Is it worth it????? hmmmmmmmmmm..........i'll post my decision soon.

You could just leave, then come back, then leave, then come back...oh wait, that's what I do! But that's why I love nursing. The possibilities are ENDLESS! :) Good luck with that one. I've been thinking about getting a job out here since I left PCMC, but I'd do it only for the fun people I worked with and you all are back in Salt Lake!

I can't wait to hear your decision. I have the same thoughts once in awhile but seniority is huge to me right now. I would miss you, but I don't see you as it is:) Karie and I have thought of cross training down in the ED but you have to do a scheduled extra once a pay period

Just do it! Think of how much money you will save on gas. The savings in gas will make up for the paycut! I miss Primarys, but couldn't be more thrilled with moving on! Best decision I ever made. But I do miss ALL of you a ton!

I think I took a pay cut on the last three job changes. It did seem kind of crazy but I was willing to do a lot to get off weekends, nights and holidays. Close proximity is nice too and I have loved learning different aspects of nursing. It's been worth it for me. Good luck with your decision.
