well, we are officially in need of shade in our backyard...we love to sit back there and eat dinner etc..but it's just soooo sunny......so, Juice and my Dad have officially started today on building a pergola for the back patio....it will give us tons of shade, and I will be able to grow some wisteria or whatever up it.....we had one that my dad and Juice built at our old house, and I miss it more than anything.....we also want to put some misters around it to keep you cool....so, today we got the wood and my dad and Juice started cutting away....next we stain the wood......
we had wanted to start a while ago, but had to submit the plans twice to the HOA to get it approved....anyway, this is a photo of what it will look like....ours will attach to the brick on our home, and won't be free standing....hopefully this will shade our back doors a bit too, as there is tons of sun that shines through there......
anyway, just thought i'd share our new project...and I am very fortunate to have such a handy dad and husband! I'll post pics of the progress....

we finished it today! Two days..I can't believe it...I have to go get my vines to go on it then i'll take a pic....shade is priceless!
