Ok...today I just about died....I decided to get off the treadmill and run/walk around the lake out here in Daybreak....well, it was a LOT harder than the treadmill....and this is why. Well, I am on week 2 and running more than last week, of course....but omg....when I turned and had to run into the wind, it was so hard...and spit kept flying out of my mouth and splatting on my face...this is not a glamorous sport...by any means....then, each time my ipod guy said RUN....of course it was when I was heading UP the stinking bridges...every bridge...three of them....I had to run up....this may not seem like a big deal to you, but wow it was hard...but I did it! Plus is smelled like fish out there, but i do have to say it was so peaceful and beautiful! I think I will do that more often....nice to be able to look ahead and have a goal to focus on instead of watching the timer ticking on the treadmill....and nice to have such pretty scenery to look at....
They have the nicest little chairs and tables up high on one part of the lake...if you ever want a fun day out with the family, come on over, pack a picnic and just hang out by the lake....it is so pretty!
So, all in all physically it was harder, but mentally it was a lot easier to have something to look at....
now a day of rest and back at it again....

Hi Michelle! I'm almost motivated by reading this. I love how accuratley you described the experience, spit splats & all! You're awesome for sticking with it! You've reminded me of H.S. when I ran distance track. Imagine how much it sucks to go in circles around a boring track like 100 million times wearing skimpy shorts. I'd get so mad at spectators who thought they were supporting us by yelling, "RUN! RUN!". Um, Duh! Especially while they're sitting comfy & it smells like yummy consessions. It's for sure a mental sport & tough work! Week #2 is a big deal! Good job.
Thanks for maing me feel lazy. I can't stop laughing at your spit comment.
